North East Community Assembly Blog

Hi

My name is Dave Aspinall and I’m the new Locality Officer for the North East contact number  0771 8512929

Please note that the North East Community Assembly Blog is no longer in operation , thanks to Hannah Isherwod for all her hard work on this.

We have now moved to the North East Sheffield blog see link below

http://northeastsheffield.wordpress.com/

In January 2013 we launched the first part of a Consultation seeking views on the impact of the 2013/14 Budget Proposals affecting Community Assemblies.

Responses to the Consultation were summarised in a Consultation Report which was presented to Councillors to consider as part of their decision making process on the overall amounts to be allocated to different service areas.

On 1 March 2013 the Budget for 2013/14 was formally agreed for implementation by Members at the Full Council Meeting. This included the Budget Proposals to make changes to Community Assemblies.

We are now holding the next part of the consultation process and are seeking your views and opinions on more detailed proposals based on the budget allocation of £580,000.

Your views are important to us and the feedback you provide through this consultation will help us to improve the way we make changes to the services.  We will take your views into account when making our final decisions.

The consultation will end on 3rd June 2013.

Business in the spotlight – 15th May

The Federation of Small Business’ “Business in the Spotlight” networking events continue to grow in popularity: an average attendance of over 60 delegates is being maintained. Buoyed by this success, we’re doing it again from 4.00 to 6.00pm on Wednesday 15 May at Costco Wholesale, Parkway Close, Sheffield, S9 4WU. As always, the event is open to member and non-member organisations, presenting a great opportunity to get together with other organisations, network, buy, sell, and seek out joint trading collaborations.

The “Business in the Spotlight” concept is supremely simple: there are no star guests, no keynote addresses, no after-dinner speeches…. just you and a hundred other organisations doing what you do best – spreading the word about your respective companies as you meet, mix and mingle.

Exhibitors at the event will include:

  • ADS Limathon Limited
  • Bhayani Bracewell
  • Bridge Safety and Training
  • Comtech Services UK Ltd
  • Costco Wholesale
  • Custom Metal Products Ltd
  • Emergency Response Training Ltd
  • Federation of Small Byusinesses
  • Hart Shaw
  • Heyen
  • HMRC
  • HSBC Bank PLC
  • Magenta Signs
  • MCi Diventi Ltd
  • Skills for Careers
  • TaxMatters Solutions Ltd
  • The Network

Refreshments are provided throughout, and the event is entirely FREE OF CHARGE. “Business in the Spotlight” is open to all…. so if you wish to join the ranks of eager networkers for this event, we’ll be pleased to reserve your place. Book online at: http://bitsmay.eventbrite.com/
